Welcome to the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) website. APPA is a forum for privacy authorities in the Asia Pacific region. It gives privacy authorities in the region an opportunity to form partnerships, discuss best practices and to share information on emerging technology, trends and changes to privacy regulation.

Communiqué from the 44th APPA Forum in Macao
In early December 2015, APPA delegates met in Macao for the 44th APPA Forum. The meeting which was hosted by the Office for Personal Data Protection, Macao, was attended by representatives from 13 privacy authorities and included observers from Government, industry and civil society.

Next meeting — 45th APPA Forum
In July 2016, the Personal Data Protection Commissioner, Singapore will host the 45th APPA Forum. This will be the first time the forum is held in Singapore. For more information about the upcoming forum, contact the APPA Secretariat.
